Interesting, but sense of scale needed too. Article says optimizing food freezing temps worldwide would cut GHGs by 17 Mt CO2e. But global food-related GHGs are >1,000x that (~18 Gt CO2e). Thus <0.1% reduction. Big ticket items: improve agriculture, cut food waste, shift diets, end deforestation.

It sometimes feels like genAI hype guys imagine a future where creative activities—like drawing or writing—become quaint and quirky hobbies. Like the friend who gets side-eyes for saying they want to live off-grid and build their own house by hand. That kind of future sounds awful to me.
