This isn’t really pertinent, as you pointed out. What is at the crux of this discussion is the misnomer AI, which has entered our language without any intellectual rigor and the Turing test that is mostly a test for linguistic mimicry.

People in cars do. But when you add “autonomous vehicles “ into the mix we get close to what you’re talking about. But these are all ideas circling around whatever “intelligence” is. I am truly appalled that the media has gone along with the industry misnomer of AI, without a clear definition.
