Oh I can imagine. And evangelical is, like you said, a very broad term that’s come to be in some sense reductionist to white suprrmacisf evangelicalism. I left the church for a long time bc of it and ended up back in Lutheranism in part cos those fucks can’t take Christianity from us

I got the impression that you were a "mainliner" and that's awesome! I'm fortunate to have been going to the same small evangelical church for a long time now so they just think I'm odd. I'm in that 20% of politically active evangelicals who didn't vote MAGA and boy is it isolating
