I totally feel that. My players and I originally created the setting for D&D. We've played it in a couple of rule sets since then, but Daggerheart really feels like not only better mechanics for it, but the game ends community I'd prefer to be associated with.

I faced the same prob with Halflight Halls, and settled it by asking myself "Which do I want to play today?" Daggerheart won that round. I'll eventually port it back to 5e, I still love D&D, but probably not until I've got a lot more room in my schedule.
