Of course if the wind farms didn't exist the gas turbines would have to run at these extortionate prices anyway (extortionate because gas is very expensive). Grid constraints are high now because the national grid is being upgraded so constraints will be lower in the future.

Needs both grid and storage. Both are happening (some of which causes short term add costs) but not fast enough

Yes, I know it's not quite the same thing, but you can also argue that gas prices in general, including the day-ahead prices, would be significantly higher without renewables, particularly during sudden disruptions to markets like the current one.
