How @europarl.europa.eu went from being a democratic watchdog to the lapdog of government leaders. Decline set in in 2019 as Parliament gave up its power to appoint the EC President. EUCO has filled the void and is now all-powerful with zero checks&balances. Good piece by @davidcarretta.bsky.social
