I heard someone say everyone gets to write one unhinged "theory of everything" paper in their career.. I'm so close to unleashing mine into the world 🙈

MIT recently installed over 500 new surveillance cameras all over campus, without discussing the effect on privacy and political speech with its own faculty (who know a lot about this). In response, faculty wrote this piece fnl.mit.edu/how-we-learn... and are bedazzling the surveillance cameras...

I’m in DC scheduled to give this talk today. But the organizers flagged slides in my deck that mention racism, structural gaslighting, New Jim Code and other themes that are off limits in the Land of the Free.

you don’t hold "AI" accountable; you hold AI developers, vendors, and corporations that profit off it accountable holding "AI accountable" is like holding a toaster accountable. it's an inanimate object. it doesn't have wishes, feelings, or desires
