My dad was born today, July 4. A proud U.S. Marine Raider in the Solomon Islands WWII. A teenage summer field hand, LA County road worker, proud father, Dodgers fan and lifelong Democrat 💙. I imagine him rolling over in his grave the dark state of the country he and others fought to support.
