i think small niche communities are probably more prone to all-encompassing drama than large ones simply because if there's any drama at all, you can't both stay active in the community AND stay away from the drama. but it didn't deserve being hyperpublicized like this.

I've encountered people who read like parodies before who i nevertheless believe are sincere, because sometimes people do get caught in weird political mind prisons, often due to some kind of moral OCD - like that one furry who made "25-year-old minor" famous - but there are limits!
