calling it: @penpotapp will eat Figma 😄 github.com/penpot/penpo... this isn't 100% yet, but it's already close and the design tokens system in PenPot is so much more powerful than the mess of variables and styles in Figma incredible progress! I am so excited for this 😄

Me as a designer: Figma is great! I love Figma! Me as a dev trying to sync design tokens through Figma Variables, Tokens Studio, JSON files, Style Dictionary, and finally to a CSS file compatible with a component library:

Am I missing functionality, or do Figma purposely make creating and managing variables/tokens tedious and so fucking annoying? I mean, no simple duplication of a group/child, no duplication of collections… Maybe less AI fanfare and more attention to improving these core features. #designsky
