This episode with @timwhitaker.bsky.social and @matthewdtaylor.bsky.social is fascinating. Gets into the gospel of Mark and how the early church started out as a revolutionary theology against colonial power, but was co-opted by them into Christian Empire, replete with hierarchical interpretations.
