It is an awesome feeling when an idea comes to you. I was in our school library when the title of my novel, #LaLadyFund come to me. And 6 years later it came to fruition.

That's a good question. I think the most satisfying are the stories that tell you exactly where they're going and then make you forget it until the last page...
Show PostI don't think it's something I look out for but it is something I'd notice if it wasn't there. Sometimes, it's fun to be along for a wild ride, just to see what happens, but usually some indication of intent makes things better.

Show PostYep. That makes a lot of sense. I think, getting back to an earlier point in the discussion, authorial intent (i.e., that you have some) is very important here. It doesn't even need to be that a character knows what's going on, so long as the reader knows that the author does...
