My BMI is higher than their policy allows. As a refresh, BMI was dev by a mathematician/statistician in the 19th c & isn't based on medicine. I was told it'd be cheaper for me to go to Europe for the surgery b/c they don't use bone rattling & dogmatic medicine. It's gonna get worse for me & the USA
Show PostI'm disgusted by the state of medicine in this country. Medical necessity doesn't matter. The use of dogmatic medicine is rampant. I was told today that my insurance, Kaiser, would not consider doing the knee replacement I need. Not because I don't need both knees replaced. 1/2
