At 50 I decided to travel. Unknown to me at the time my bro was dying, talked me into it. Tokyo was kind of a whim while checking flights, one had Tokyo as a layover instead of Guam. It was a quest overcome fear of the 🌏 get out of my comfort zone be alone in the 🌏. I didn't speak 🗾 SCARED😅 NO CLUE!
Show PostYes, whirlwind tour of the city. At night I even ventured into the red light districts. No, not for sex. Again, I felt safe. Was only accosted by a 🤫 "talent manager" once. Oddly enough it was an African American fellow. He was friendly. Odd experience. Stopover on my way elsewhere. 👆 US city? Nope.
Show PostWell, They certainly don't fear their heavily armed citizens & neighbors, & I suspect road rage is not really a thing. Having ridden on both a Tokyo subway and a NYC subway, I'd rather not ride an NYC subway EVER again. The Tokyo/ city lifestyle is not the same as rural Japan. I felt safe in Tokyo.
