There needs to be a political version of seppuku where if you're part of the brain trust that lost the super majority to the worst candidate in history, you should, at a minimum, be run out of town on a donkey and let new leadership try to unfuck the gigantic mess you made.

Remember, the whole point of activism is to translate, ultimately, into policy. And policy is determined by lawmakers, who depend on your vote to get elected. Nothing else matters if you don't participate in the system.
