I wonder if @airchivesloan.bsky.social has a 1984 British Airways timetable to confirm the detail, but I spent much of my childhood in the 80s and 90s shuttling backwards and forwards between Heathrow and the US, and remember planespotting in the dark from the big T4 windows (built 1986).

I have, errr, arranged access to many of the @airchivesloan.bsky.social timetables and can offer some insights. Club World was introduced in 1984, shown in the 2-2 layout on the 747s in the Winter 84-85 timetables. The 1983 timetable shows the older layout, w US flights "converted" to 2-abreast.
