A Chicago wedding, late 1910s or early 1920s, poses a puzzle. From my cousin's collection of Gratz family photos, the groom looks like other images of Peter Gratz (1892-1977), a great-uncle. She reported that the bride was known to be blind, and Peter married Sadie Cunningham in 1917. Is this them?

Catherine Clyde Speights of Decatur, Georgia, c. 1918, daughter of Russell Blake Speights and Helen Jennie Marie Müller. Catherine's mother was a granddaughter of Rev. Ludwig Müller of the St. Matthews German Lutheran Church, Charleston, where Müller descendants are treated like long-lost royalty.
