Agreed. In Steyer's speech he said "You shouldn't have to be a billionaire to fight for single payer." He's right. He could have given 20 candidates - relatable non-billionaires - $10 million dollars each to do it. He chose not to. He can still rectify that for when it counts: The Mid Terms.
