As cyclist, motorist and pedestrian, I’ve long thought that the driving test should include riding a bike whilst a car overtakes at 30, 40, 50mph, less than a foot from the end of the handlebars. Non-cyclists have no idea how terrifying close overtaking is for cyclists.
