P.S. Here is a little additional info about kittens and FIV diagnosis. Marcel was a true positive, but many kittens are prone to false positives and I explain why and how to tell for sure. bsky.app/profile/cats...

We knew that Marcel was coming to us with a lot of challenges but with the help of our wonderful vets and the amazing support of @mikeldelgado.bsky.social he has blossomed into a loving, happy, healthy gentleman! He adores Francie and sleeps curled up with us every night.

Little Marcel also tested positive for FIV. It's usually not a problem for FIV+ cats to live with FIV- cats, but kittens tussle and bite so it would not have been safe for him to have a FIV- companion. It was a tricky placement for the shelter and they were overjoyed when we applied.
