I typicslly just ignore these posts as im Non confrontational, i guess for me it’s impossible it divorce AI from the fact that every single thing i love in my life has been made worse with the introduction of AI. I enjoy things less, i get frustrated that everything works worse. I feel sacrificed.

So generally when people want to talk about it its a moot point, i wish it never existed, and i generally am going through my days extremely cynical and depressed because i dont see how ill ever really love things again.

And i dont think its possible to get anything productive from such a stong emotional response. Its been horrible, it is horrible, it is horrible, and it will be horrible for the rest of our lives. Talking about it just sinks that in further, our lives will be demonstrably worse until we die.

To be real with you, a lot of your posts lately seem to be taking the announcements by the AI companies at face value. Experts who aren’t in the effective altruist/rationalist cult have been calling bullshit on most of these announcements. I suspect a bunch of the flak you’re catching is from that.
