We already have flying cars. They're called helicopters. They're really expensive and there are good reasons you have to have a pilot license and work with air traffic control to fly them. Putting jets on a sedan is not going to result in a better vehicle or transportation experience in any way.

Right this is a good point. You can replace all the wood with cardboard and it still, perhaps, retains its identity as the Ship of Theseus, but this operation may cause it to lose the property that it floats in the water.

There's a lot of "*My* certainty about my beliefs is totally reasonable and scientific, *your* certainty about your beliefs is irrational and magical thinking" that happens in arguments On Line (especially about stuff like this) and I... really wish it didn't.
