There's also a weird underlying assumption that every trans person is going to lie about being trans but that no cis person omits vital information. Like I've had cis patients who neglected to mention diabetes, heart bypass surgery, anticoagulant medication etc. all much more dangerous

suppressing androgens also means that trans women are at a reduced risk for eg prostate cancer, and trans men are at a reduced risk for breast cancer on hormones and after mastec. however, both should still be looked at! eg mastec doesn’t remove all breast tissue (and cis men also get breast cancer)

Thinking about all the times I've seen a post telling people to never go into their DMs to just say "hi" and nothing else. I agreed for the longest time but now I realize I'm so afraid of DMing people unless I have a good enough reason. I have no idea how to start conversations with people at all
