In the shock and grief 25 years ago, people still mobilized against a militaristic and Islamaophobic response. I went to a peace vigil within ~a week. People sang "Our grief is not a call for war." Thousands in Boston marched against war, laying flowers at a makeshift memorial, on October 7.
