THE DEVILS has kind of been marketed as a HARDCORE, NASTY MOVIE, FINALLY UNLEASHED!!! and it is that sometimes, but you'll also want to go watch this movie for the same reason you'd watch a film of such pristine art direction as BARRY LYNDON. It's one of the most beautiful films ever made.

got to see a 35mm print (from the 50th anniversary rerelease) of fantasia, meant so much to see this way. nothing better. the awe only grows with each viewing the more i learn and know about early animation (and the older i get). the volume of animated water and twinkling is staggering
