Not a peace process, but a way to make a bunch of illegal black market activities that everyone knew or suspected were going on & make them legit + several flights a day b/ween UAE & Israel. Also, pressure on the Palestinians to accept a bad deal w/the Israelis, which fortunately never happened. 3/

2) The subtext of the book excerpt makes clear what most of us working on problem sets in the AOR already knew: the Abraham Accords were solely a way to make the under the table interactions b/ween Israel, UAE, sometimes Saudi & other states, legit. 2/

I've now read it, 3 quick takeaways: 1) Dutch intel figured out Jared's phone was compromised because the GRU, Russian military intel, had compromised it & then someone hacked the GRU, released that info, & Dutch intel saw what the GRU had hacked from Jared's phone. 1/
