There is much to admire in Abdul El-Sayed's response to the GOP plant in his audience. But one of the most deft things he did was to point out (twice) that our Constitution protects our right to follow *no* religion, thereby casting Christian nationalist Tommy as the actual religious extremist.

I don’t post about every school shooting in America anymore because Americans are generally unfazed by violence and dead school children. Instead, I spend every second of my time trying to help elect lawmakers who will put regulations on guns and the people who can own guns.
