The actual group said they had nothing to do with it, despite the mailers copying their aesthetic, and the address traces to a random UPS box.

I don't think Paxton sent them, but my money is on Evangelical Republicans. I got a postcard after the 2020 election with no identifying information claiming someone had illegally voted at my address.

Calling it a dogpile instead of people disagreeing with you are different things. If you say a group facing escalating persecution that qualifies as genocide doesn't matter much in the grand scheme, the replies you get are appropriate and frankly you’re getting off easy. Maybe I’ll change that.
