Nuclear power was sited on coasts for access to cooling water. Why not data centres? Added to which off-shore, tidal & nuclear energy is nearby, and there is a need for economic growth & jobs, which would bring renewal & less opposition? @raeng.org.uk policy.friendsoftheearth.uk/insight/data...

Lovely to be back in TU Delft for #ICRS2026 International Conference on Resilient Infrastructure, presenting work from the @darehub.bsky.social researchers. Enjoyed the keynote from Caroline Field of PA Consulting this morning, and this must be the best conference freebie ever!

Yes! Dialogue with different knowledge holders, including social scientists, to recognise where our knowledges overlap, differ and have limits. It has to be a partnership where we acknowledge that square pegs don’t fit everywhere…
