Seven of UAE's eight riders for the Tour de France have won a WorldTour level stage race. The exception is Nils Politt, who did win the Deutschland Tour, which used to be a WT-level stage race.

Geraint Thomas is the oldest rider in the race and started his first Tour de France in 2007. No other riders in this year's race took part in any Tour de France before 2013.
