While it is a bit long, I recommend this article by a retired Army Officer, West Point Grad and (later) faculty member, M Thomas Davis. As Davis points out, the things that concern Hegseth tactical and personnel issues normally handled by more junior staff. Hegseth doesn't care about strategy.
