Perhaps it’s my monist upbringing showing here but I keep getting baffled about commentary on this whole debacle completely ignoring the long standing international law that is applicable here. I can appreciate that the UK is more dualist but certainly not to the extent that it can disapply ECHR law

It’s also really infuriating that it is just plainly wrong legally. The UK in its application of the FWS ruling is clearly in violation of the ECHR, which is also a part of “the law”. You would expect something that is at least nominally a human rights org to stress that discrepancy
