Working in the healthcare industry while fat is so hard right now. I am grateful I work remote so I don't have to pretend I'm not deeply upset about the fatphobic rhetoric people are drowning themselves in constantly. And the rise of unregulated compounded weight loss medications is terrifying too!!

I think just like.. the loudness of GLP-1s. Since that 2024 Eli Lily Oscar ad push I think I have seen ads or a story about glp-1s every single day. I know no peace from it. It’s inescapable.

I'm currently shut out of top surgery due to BMI except for one provider with a 3+ year wait. Instead of being angry or advocating for me, fellow queers are like just go on a GLP dude

My new primary healthcare provider didn't ask if weight loss was a goal, he went straight to "let's set a 10% of body weight goal". When I explained I have lost and regained weight many times and explained how I was staying healthy at current weight he said "well I'm not gonna pretend it's okay."
