I've learned a lot from exploring "what if?" and thinking through all the different possibilities. I've learned a lot about PR and industry abuse and manipulation, and media in general. I used to always jump to bad intent, and I like that I'm more nuanced and knowledgeable now.

I completely understand relying on this fandom to cope with the shittiness of the world around us rn. I think it's understandable to have escapist fantasies, as long as it doesn't cross into real life. I enjoy the hopeful theorizing, but I draw the line at pushing blind faith onto others.

excellent thread. I've always tried to observe, rather than defend, the actions of Taylor and and NewRo. I feel like Taylor, more than others, has earned the benefit of the doubt I give her. that's not the same as blind faith. but I REALLY don't like it when people say "trust the plan" in general
