Love this paper by soleilsolay.bsky.social and Anne Pringle! Fabulous insights from mycology that I think will matter for the biological sex debate. I got to talk pluralism at the fungal sex symposium Soleil organized at MSA this summer, and her work there and in this paper are sharpening my views.

1. A basic, and massive, scientific error. David states unambiguously that Ebola outbreaks end with the last human case, and cannot re-emerge without zoonotic spillover. This is categorically false, and has been consequentially false in just the last few years.
