It's so bittersweet to know even tho Luffy said this, Sanji STILL internalised it wrong. Sanji saw it as needing his VALUE and his ABILITY, not about Luffy just needing and loving SANJI. He's twisted Luffy's words to fit his own self hatred, and ofc Sanji can't heal in one day 😭

kind of happens in Water 7 too when Sanji's on the train and Luffy gives Sanji the go ahead to wreak havoc, but Zoro is totally against it and demands Sanji come back because "there are some very strong guys on that train." And then Sanji asks if Zoro's worried about him LOL
