Sausage is very very worried and a bit frightened. If you are not able to deal with his/her neediness (& it will take a long time and lots of reassurance to get any better) it might be better to rehome doggo. Dachshund Rescue Australia are very good. No shame intended. They are not for everyone.

Hey Amy I would take your doggie in a heartbeat. Just said goodbye to my 13 y/o Dachshund. She was much loved, completely spoilt & I have the all the time as I’m retired. DM me if you are interested.
