I hate sitting down to write reviews/features more than anything. With drawing, I have very little ability so it's exploratory, moments of discovery through constant improvisation to try to figure things out as I go, feels good. Writing, I have some ability + control, making it extremely not fun.

If there is one bit of wisdom I can pass on from my near-40s, it's that spending time doing a thing you love is a thousand times more valuable than spending time reading or watching other people talk about that thing. Just go do the thing. Put down the phone and go do it. Do it.

Spoiler alert: People get frustrated doing a thing when their knowledge of a thing surpasses their ability. Knowing is not doing. Do a thing, and you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that knowledge comes after. Know a thing, and you'll be annoyed until you can catch up in doing what you know.
