The sea surface temperature at the @scrippsocean.bsky.social Pier is 74.5℉ (23.6℃) today. That is 9.2℉ (5.1℃) above normal. It is also 1.3℉ (0.7℃) higher than any other reading this late in the year since records began in 1916 (previously 72.3℉/22.9℃ on Oct. 22, 2015). #CAwx #ElNiño
