Note that I see many iPhones out and about. Rarely are they "state-of-the-art tech": eve though planned obsolescence gradually locks out older models out of updated apps, there's still a lot of iPhone 4 S's and such (2012). But yeah, I understand how Apple pushes "iPhone = newest iPhone"
