Would any devs on here be interested in sending me a little blurb explaining which Next Fest demo you’ve be enjoying and why? It would be fun to run something positive amid the (understandable) gloom. Uplift your peers and their neat projects! DMs open / email in bio if you want to take part!

Devastated for BioWare, and the end of the Mass Effect franchise. I'd heard bits of what the next game would be about that sounded promising. It was being built by staff who worked on the original trilogy or grew up adoring it. I'm gutted the series will never get a chance at a return to form.

At this point the only sensible conclusion is that the games industry is doing great but the desperate greed of capitalism keeps murdering us

The video game industry has become a never-ending, deeply senseless waste of money, talent, creative potential, and, most of all, humans' precious time on this earth. All scrapped in the name of maximising potential profits and chasing impossible, infinite growth.
