I also think it is very important for any progressive project to be able to distinguish what a technology does with what capitalism does. Otherwise you're just naturalising capital, which only serves the current ruling class.

yes again that's why it will always be bad under capitalism. Post capitalism, in a society where you do not depend on your job to survive and where private ownership is not a thing and all humans own all human knowledge, AI would not be built off mass theft.

If you need a random color (e.g. procedurally coloring objects), you should use Oklab or Oklch color space instead of RGB or HSV. RGB may span the whole spectrum, but it does not pick fairly (leaning dark/muddy). Oklab is designed to more closely map to how we perceive color
