Unlike the previous appeal, this one states that they are not challenging the amount of attorneys fees already awarded; they are probably going to ask for a piece of the $100 million or so that the class counsel were awarded. So it won’t really have any direct impact on class members at all.

What is the Effective Date? It's the day after the main claims of the settlement get settled. It is no longer possible to appeal the settlement itself.
