MIL fried (over fried) some twisted fish chunks and they all ate them. Not my fave. But then she whipped up a sweet and spicy sauce to top off the remainder and I'm sitting here trying not to go get a second bowlful with rice. Say what you will, she knows me.

The highest concentrations you find from non-industrial sources in soil do, however, tend to be the top 0-4” of soil between the curb and the sidewalk from idling leaded gasoline tailpipes depositing particles to the surface. That soil rarely gets worked on or changed so it stays there.

Side view of the tamale pie. I really liked this. The cornbread topping was savory rather than sweet. A dash of Tabasco helped up the heat (there’s pepper jack cheese in the filling too). Ground pork, black beans, tomatoes, corn, green onions, chile powder, oregano in there as well.
