I do not think that the public will be patient in 2027 if Democrats win the House and/or the Senate. I also don't think that the public has been educated about what is actually possible to achieve. Finally, 2 years of watching Jeffries and Schumer be uninspiring will depress everyone.

this is an interesting thread. I would only say that while this is plausible, it's also plausible that there's President Vance or Rubio in 2028 because National Democrats are unable to run a plausible candidate who can articulate an actual positive vision after 2 years of Dem congressional control.
