On days I feel especially creaky and mortal I do gloomy maths of how long I can expect to work and how fast I can write a book, and therefore how many books I can reasonably expect to publish in my career, which is basically the space I'd have to do everything I want to do, and it's never enough.

I have been depressed by this ngl. Obviously struggling through learning difficult things is worth it for enriching my mind. But it sucks that throughout history it’s mainly been men, and a ton of white men, who get hero/glory treatment for cracking a difficult thing, and now it’ll just go to AI.

I go through this literally every two years. People get big mad over some version of me that they wanna make up in their head cause they just wanna teams sports it, be it Dems versus GOP, or liberals v leftists. Yall gotta get more understanding of marganlzied perspectives and material practicality.

It is fascinating being a rorschach test where libs assume that I argue “don’t vote” because I don’t trust the dems to help trans ppl beyond being moderately better then the GOP, and leftists believe I’m a blue-blood lib who would die for electoral politics because I say voting has material effects.
