Sent a cleaned-up version of my rant about our district's AI policy to the superintendent, school board, and head tech people at the district. Pretty sure the sup responded via AI. The tech person basically said "I can see both sides" and asked me to join the AI Governance Committee... 🙃

Occupational therapy and I met for a while this morning; called the local music shop but they don't have any ideas. Our sped dept. doesn't see it as a 504 issue.

Counselor and principal raised some good points about long-term success in the program (if they can just "get by" in first-year orchestra, how will they "level up" over the next 2, 3, 4, 5 years of orchestra? I've asked senior colleagues and others. I'm out of ideas.

Sweet kid, *really* wants to play, trying the best they can at the moment... parents are supportive... (not interested in switching to band or choir, btw) Any and all creative ideas are welcome.
