As someone who was a regular listener, like 20 years ago now, no it wasn't clear. To be honest, I was basically clueless about the politics of everyone on SGU at the time. The whole elevatorgate thing really changed my perception of the whole movement. I'm glad it's ancient history. A useful lesson.
