Until we solve the alignment problem at its source, AI models will continue to optimize for the wrong goals, and increasingly impactful real-world consequences may occur, beyond the ones described here. This is a critical issue I discussed in my blogpost last month, which is cited in the article.

⚠️ META’s new terms may allow it to crawl all websites ‘associated’ with a business account. The updated terms explicitly state that Meta can use the content it collects from associated websites to “train” Meta products. The company defines “AI at Meta” as one of those products 🪓

Canada is refusing to issue ISBNs to books primarily generated with AI. This illustrates both the urgency of the problem of the growing flood of slop books, and also the toothlessness of addressing it on the honor system without there also being consequences for lying

Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers" not "blessed are the warmongers." Christian nationalism is unChristian and unAmerican. It is a Christ-like and patriotic act to oppose Christian nationalism.
