Hard to feel bad for a con when their staff are actively hostile towards their attendees and go so far as to actively hurl misogynistic insults at them. Apology? 🤣 Guess GOTF just thinks this is normal? Even when the con’s founder agreed with me? I draw a hard line at misogynistic abuse.
Show PostOther convention attendees raise concern and are ignored. Con staff end it by hurling misogynistic insults at me at which point I knew I could never support this convention again.
Show PostEven when the creator/chair of the con confirms I’m not lying, the staff still won’t back down their accusations of calling me “strange”/ “accusatory” and even devolve into arguing semantics. I even include a screen to an article written abt GOTF with negative media in its comments but am IGNORED.
Show PostAh yes, because trolls pay money to attend your events, support you by volunteering their free time and labor, and spread positive messaging about your convention. This is looking more and more like it was premediated and targeted. If they didn’t want me, why not just tell me instead of lying?
